peach and strawberry crumble

This delicious crumble makes a perfect addition to a brunch or to end a lovely meal.

Serve topped with whipped cream, ice cream or yogurt.

24 oz (706 ml) can of sliced peaches*, drained

1 cup sliced strawberries or any other favorite fruit

1 cup Omega Grains cereal

½ cup whole-wheat flour

½ cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

pinch of salt

½ cup softened butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C)

Lightly grease and flour 1 cup (8oz/250ml) capacity ovenproof ramekins (or one, 4 cup (1 quart/1litre) capacity ovenproof dish).

Combine peaches and strawberries in medium bowl, divide amongst ramekins.

Place ramekins on baking sheet

Combine Omega Grains cereal, flour, sugar and baking powder in medium bowl.

Rub into butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Pile mixture over fruit mixture.

Bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden.

*You can use canned, frozen thawed peaches or fresh, peeled peaches for this recipe.
